Why You’ll See Sponsored Videos on This Channel
From time to time, brands sponsor videos on my channel. Sponsorships help fund the time and production that goes into making free, detailed content.
When it comes to sponsored content or regular videos my priority is always the same: keep the content honest and useful, and protect trust with the audience.
Â
Sponsored Formats You’ll See
I work with brands in two main ways:
- Dedicated Sponsored Demo: A full video focused on one product, where I walk through how it works in my workflow and who it’s a fit for.
- Integrated Sponsorship: A shorter sponsored segment inside a broader video (for example, a tool I’m using during a session).Â
Either way, the standards on this page apply to both.

Reviews vs Paid Demos
I know the word "review" gets thrown around a lot in the YouTube space but the fact is that I don't do reviews. At the end of the day I am a producer who wants to make music, not a journalist. There are a lot of amazing creators out there who can help you make a buying decision, but on my channel I prefer to do paid demos around gear I’m genuinely excited to put in my workflow. Unlike a review, a paid demo is framed around me showing you how that piece of gear works in my workflow so you can decide if it fits you.
A paid demo is not a paid verdict.

How I Choose Sponsorships
I do not take every offer. I only work with products that I believe are genuinely relevant to my audience and my workflow.
That does mean you’ll mostly see products I already expected to be useful. That’s not an accident, it’s a curation choice.
What brands can and can’t control
- I control the script and the final edit.
- Brands can request factual corrections, but they can’t change opinions.
- Sponsorship is payment for production and access to my audience, not a guaranteed positive conclusion.
Â
What You Can Expect in Every Sponsored Demo
My job in a sponsored demo is to increase clarity, not declare value.
That means you will see:
- The product used in a real workflow, not just marketing claims
- My actual setup and context, so you can compare to yours
- The tradeoffs and limitations I ran into, framed honestly
- Who it seems like a good fit for, and who it’s probably not for
- What you should check before you decide (compatibility, workflow fit, learning curve, return policy, etc.)
Â
If I give an opinion, it will be scoped to a specific use case and clearly tied to my setup.
Â
Testing First. Always
I never agree to sponsored content without first testing the product in my workflow. If it doesn’t work out, I send it back with feedback. If it’s a fit, we move forward with a paid demo if the company agrees to my terms.
Â
Disclosure
If a video is sponsored, I will clearly disclose that in the video and in the description.
If a product was sent to me, I will also disclose that.
Â
Questions
If you ever have questions about a sponsorship, shoot me an email. I’m happy to clarify how a partnership was structured.
If you’re a brand looking to work with me, email is the best way to reach me as well.
