How to Separate Drum Samples from Native Instrument’s Play Series in Studio One

The Play Series by Native Instruments is a relatively new type of Kontakt library collection that provides an easy way to create. Nonetheless, I have always been very reluctant to buy any of them because of how restrictive they seemed when it came to manipulating those drum samples and adding your own effects.

I was poking around the other day, and I finally figured out a solution, so in today's video, I want to show you how to separate the samples from the drum versions of these Play Series instruments so that you can be as creative with them as you wish.

In this video, you will learn:

  1. How to add your own effects to each drum sample
  2. How to separate the MIDI for each drum sample
  3. The best workflow for using these Play Series Drum collections
